Neuro-Ophthalmology Fellowship
The fellow has the opportunity to learn and experience these types of cases if they're interested. We offer surgical training, including temporal artery biopsies, eye muscle surgeries, lid retraction and ptosis repairs, blepharoplasties, ectropion and entropion repairs. Cataract surgery is also available if desired.
The fellow will be required see daily neuro-ophthalmology consults with the option of pediatric neuro-ophthalmology, occuloplastics and pediatric ophthalmology cases. The fellow will also staff the neuro-ophthalmology clinic at Albany Medical center at least 2 days a month. Some resident teaching/lectures will also be required. Participating in neuro-radiology conferences at Albany Medical Center is also available. The fellow is also invited to join in daily resident lectures given by AMC faculty, Syracuse university and University of Buffalo faculty.
A minimum salary of $80,000/year. Health insurance , malpractice and New York licensure fees are included.
The neuro-ophthalmology fellowship does not participate in the ophthalmology fellowship match.
